MINNEAPOLIS (AP) #8212;A Minnesota father and son who won Olympic gold medals 20years apart want the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto to return their Olympicjerseys.Bill Christian played on the 1960 gold-winning U.S. Olympic hockey team. Hisson, Dave Christian of Moorhead, was part of the 1980 #8220;Miracle on Ice #8221; U.S.team that won Olympic gold. In 1981, Bill Christian got a call from Hockey Hall of Fame officials whowanted to display both Christians #8217; jerseys, which were hanging in a closet atBill Christian #8217;s home in Warroad.Bill Christian said he believed he was only loaning the jerseys, #8220;neverdreaming they would be gone forever. #8221; But the Hall of Fame has since told theChristian 606 football s the jerseys now belong to the Hall.Curator Phil Pritchard told WCCO that the Hall contends the jerseys weredonated in 1981, #8220;in a legally effective manner and they are now the propertyof the Hockey Hall of Fame. #8221;At the center of the dispute is a 1981 letter from the Hockey Hall of Fameto Bill Christian thanking him for #8220;the donation #8221; of the jerseys.
