WASHINGTON -- Manager Terry Collins made a late lineup change before Sunday's series finale with the Nationals, putting Ruben Tejada in at shortstop and giving Jose Reyes the day off. Reyes, who entered Sunday leading the National League with a .333 batting average, was scheduled to lead off and play shortstop in the original lineup posted in the Mets' clubhouse.
