The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent forward Petr Sykora to a one-year contract.Sykora, a 60", 190-pound right winger from Plzen, Czech Republic, joins the Oilers following a 2005-06 season that saw him register the sixth 50-point season of his career. The 29-year-old scored 23-28-51 with 50 penalty minutes in 74 games with both the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the New York Rangers.View Syko football history ra's bio and career statisticsHe began his 10th NHL season with Anaheim and scored 7-13-20 with 28 PIM in 34 games with the Mighty Ducks before being traded to New York on January 8, 2006 for Maxim Kondratiev. His 23 goals placed him third on the Rangers in goal scoring and he was fifth in both points football history and assists.
