PITTSBURGH -- Mark it down as an assist for Pirates outfielder Alex Presley, whose glove turned into the springboard off of which Omar Infante collected his second homer of the night at PNC Park on Friday. The Marlins scored nine times and tallied a franchise-record 10 hits in the third inning, which featured an ungraceful and inopportune defensive flub from Presley. With four of those runs alrea football live dy in, Marlins second baseman Infante lifted a ball to deep left with two on and one out. Presley gave chase, backing up to an outfield wall that stands six feet in height. With his back at the wall, the 5-foot-9 Presley put his glove up to make what should have been a pretty routine grab. But instead of gloving what would have been the second out of the frame, Presley watched the ball hit off his football live glove and carom over the wall. "I had to put my head down on the ball to get back there," Presley said. "I looked up and it was kind of behind me a tad, and I had to make an adjustment and it cost me."Presley briefly looked around to see if the ball had landed on the warning track. He soon found out, though, that it had come to rest in the first row of seats."It was a weird thing, a freak thing," football live Presley said. "I don't have an explanation for it. I should catch it, in my mind. It's an odd play."The official scorer ruled the play a three-run homer, giving Infante his second multi-homer game of the season. Infante had connected for a solo shot in his first at-bat of the night. The homer put the Marlins up, 9-1, in a game that Florida ended up winning, 13-4. football live
