Edmonton Oilers defenceman Steve Staios has been named to Team Canada for the upcoming 2008 IIHF World Championship, to be played in Halifax and Quebec City. Staios was one of 15 players named to Canada's roster.Team Canada General Manager Steve Yzerman, along with assistant general managers Doug Armstrong and Luc Robitaille, will now monitor the NHL playoffs over the coming weeks and look to mak football live e additions to the roster once the first round of NHL playoffs are completed.In 82 games with the Oilers this season, Staios scored seven goals and nine assists for 16 points, including 121 penalty minutes.
