Nov 1 (Reuters) - Brian Cashman has agreed to a three-yearcontract to remain as the New York Yankees general manager, theMajor League Baseball (MLB) team said on Tuesday.Cashman, 44, has been the Yankees #8217; GM since 1998, helpingthe team to four World Series titles and six American Leaguepennants. His previous contract expired on Monday. The announcement comes a day after Cashman, who the football teams Yankeessay has the third-longest tenure among current MLB generalmangers, signed CC Sabathia(notes) to a contract extension that couldkeep the ace with the Yankees through the 2017 season.
