On Tuesday, April 13 the Edmonton Oilers hosted their first ever Tweetup. Oilers Twitter followers were invited to attend an exclusive 2010 NHL Draft Lottery Tweetup presented by Hudsons Canadian Taphouse and Molson to witness one of the biggest days in Oilers history with fellow tweeps. Nearly 300 fans packed Hudsons downtown filled with excitement, anxiously waiting to find out which team would fox nfl win the first pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Molson, Hudsons and the Edmonton Oilers treated guests to complimentary appetizers and Molson 67s while fans mingled and talked hockey. Lucky tweeters even left with some great prizes including a team signed Oilers jersey, autographed sticks, Hudsons gift cards and a Molson beer cooler. As the anticipation grew, it was announced just before 6:30pm M fox nfl DT that the Edmonton Oilers will have the first pick overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.-It was awesome that Oilers put on this event just for Oilers Twitter followers,- said Seth Glick. -The best part about tonight had to be the Oilers getting the first round draft pick.-Throughout the night, live from Toronto, TSN did live cut-ins and mentions of the Oilers Tweetup.
