Oct 28 (Reuters) - Factbox on the St. Louis Cardinals after they beat the Texas Rangers onFriday to win the 2011 World Series.* Founded in 1882, the Missouri-based Cardinals are one of baseball #8217;s oldest and mostsuccessful teams. * Originally known as the St. Louis Brown Stockings, they joined the National League in 1892and adopted the name the Cardinals from 1900.* The Cardinals have won fox sports the World Series 11 times #8212;1926, 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946,1964, 1967, 1982, 2006 and 2011 - more than any other team in the National League.
