ST. LOUIS -- A day after revealing that the Mets are almost certain to make significant changes to Citi Field's dimensions next season, general manager Sandy Alderson called an impromptu meeting of the team's pitchers in St. Louis. Like an account executive, Alderson briefed his team on the potential changes to their home park and, as much as possible, on their possible effects."There's no exact free football streaming science to it," starting pitcher R.A. Dickey said. "Until you do it, you don't really know what's going to happen. I think they're going to be careful and consider all that."The Mets will not finalize any changes until October, after Major League Baseball has had a chance to review and approve them. At that point, assuming the changes achieve the team's desired goals, Citi Field will transform fro free football streaming m an extreme pitcher's park to a neutral site, favoring neither pitchers nor hitters."It's going to make a difference, certainly," manager Terry Collins said. "It will be a fair park. They're not going to be gimmes -- you're still going to have to hit it. But I think it will certainly change the way some of these guys view playing at Citi Field."In recent months, several Mets hitters have become n free football streaming oticeably more candid in discussing an issue dating back to Citi Field's inaugural season in 2009. Though careful not to blame the park for any individual shortcomings, right-handed sluggers David Wright and Jason Bay have both hinted that Citi Field -- whether knowingly or not -- may have caused them to alter various aspects of their swings.Collins called it a "psychological barrier," referencing free football streaming the routine disbelief of out-of-town sluggers.Just last week, Wright recalled watching Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman hit a ball to deep right field, where Lucas Duda camped under it just shy of the warning track."You could just kind of see it on his face as he ran by," Wright said. "I've been there and done that, so I know the feeling."Perhaps, however, those days are almost at an end. T free football streaming he Mets are discussing various changes at Citi Field including, but not necessarily limited to: halving the 16-foot left-field wall, moving the left-field wall closer to home plate and flattening out the "Mo Zone" in right field. Individually, those changes may each produce significant effects. Combined, they could transform Citi Field's reputation. Then again, how much of a pitcher's park Citi Fie free football streaming ld really is remains up for debate. Though the park has averaged 1.32 home runs per game this season, third-fewest in the Majors behind AT T Park Park in San Francisco and PETCO Park in San Diego, much of that has been due to injuries and inconsistencies within the home team's lineup. A year ago, Citi Field ranked third-to-last behind two different stadiums, Safeco Field in Seattle and The Coliseu free football streaming m in Oakland; in 2009, Citi ranked sixth-to-last with 1.60 home runs per game. What's clear is that park factors can be volatile statistics, and that minor dimension changes can breed significant results. In bringing in the outfield fences, for example, the Mets may dampen home run totals but create smaller gaps, making it easier for outfielders to cut off other extra-base hits.To that end, the Met free football streaming s cannot yet harbor strong opinions about the proposed changes because they do not know exactly what effects they will have. All the team's hitters and pitchers can do, from varying perspectives, is hope."Any time you talk about making a park more hitter-friendly, the hitters are going to be on board with that," Wright said. "I don't think that it's going to be any breaking news that hitters like free football streaming to hit in hitter-friendly ballparks." Bay remains out of lineup with illness ST. LOUIS -- Mets outfielder Jason Bay was out of the starting lineup for a second straight day on Wednesday due to illness. Bay remains day to day and was available to pinch-hit if needed, though he is currently on a regimen of antibiotics."He's still got it pretty good," said Mets manager Terry Collins, who suffered free football streaming through a similar illness last month.Bay and Collins are not alone. Several Mets players have complained of flu-like symptoms in recent weeks, including pitchers Chris Capuano and Tim Byrdak. Though Bay offered to play if needed this week in St. Louis, Collins opted to proceed instead with Willie Harris in left field."The one thing I don't want to do is push him into a further state of where he j free football streaming ust gets so tired and so run down, he can't get rid of it," Collins said. free football streaming
