Northern Kentucky University will celebrate Hall of Famer Jim Bunning on Nov. 10 with "U.S. Senator Jim Bunning: Baseball and Beyond," an event to support the processing of Bunning's Congressional papers and baseball memorabilia.Bunning, a 17-year Major League veteran who pitched the majority of his career for the Tigers and Phillies, also served as a U.S. representative and senator for Kentucky. games football Items from his playing days and correspondence and reports from his 24 years in the government have been donated to Northern Kentucky's W. Frank Steely Library.The event, which consists of a reception, dinner and lecture, will begin with the reception at 5 p.m., with Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda and Bunning talking with guests. Tickets to the reception are $1,000.Following the reception, the dinne games football r will begin, with items from Rex Morgan -- the largest collector of Bunning memorabilia -- on display. Individual tickets to the dinner are $125.The evening will conclude with a lecture, where Lasorda and Bunning will speak about their playing days, and Bunning will reflect on the current political landscape.
